From time to time you see a news report that simply makes you scratch your head and instantaneously causes your eyes to glaze over at the sheer stupidity of the statements made.
One such comment came from(please refrain from gasps of shock) the Rev. Al Sharpton. Al has been known to throw a doozy out there from time to time, but this one takes what could possibly be argued as first place in this year’s top five mindless statements.
While being interviewed on MSNBC, or MSDNC as Trump calls it, the good reverend stated with much zeal that, “Can you imagine our reading that James Madison or Thomas Jefferson tried to overthrow the government?” We will give you a second to let the asinine logic behind this genius comment marinate in your minds.
Apparently, our friend Al has re-imagined history like every other aspect of his inspiring woke ideology. It seems that our founders and the revolution have evaded his memory as much as his hairline has retreated from his forehead.
For any leftists reading this article who fail to see the fault in his statement, let us embark on United States History 101. Thomas Jefferson just so happened to pen the most famous document in our country’s history known as the Declaration of Independence. James Madison created the Federalist Papers and later became known as the “Father of the Constitution.” Both of these documents, unbeknownst to Sharpton, established an independent nation that overthrew the controlling power of the British Empire. Our founding fathers were identified as traitors and insurrectionists, much like the protestors on January 6th whom Sharpton and the left have denigrated as a threat to democracy.
Once again it may be time for someone to inform our wayward brethren across the aisle that we are not in fact a democracy. As set forth by our founders and the documents they created as the foundation for our nation, we are a Constitutional Republic that utilizes some democratic procedures.
Maybe instead of encouraging riots, looting, and violence during the “Summer of Love,” some of these “leaders” should have curled up with the founding documents and properly understand the framework of the Republic. We won’t hold our breath, but instead we will bet on their constant buffoonery and attempts to destroy our rights and freedoms. They are very proficient at other life skills such projection, fabrication and indoctrination. Historical accuracy is not their strong suit. Better luck next time Al.
